Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - Portland Oregon
I am so very proud of my wife, my sisters and all of the walkers, staff and volunteers who gave their weekend for this great event. Wow, what a weekend. Thanks so much to all who shared in the walk. This site includes some of the photos that were taken during the weekend. My wife walked for the first time last year in Seattle along with two sisters. This year one sister walked, my wife was a crew leader and another sister and I were volunteers. My third sister took care of our dogs so we could participate. My niece and her husband helped cheer the walkers along the route. My mother is a survivor. Everyone in my family has been involved in some way.
From the check-in on Friday until the emotional closing ceremonies Sunday there was so much love, sweat and a few tears. Many participants had stories of how breast cancer has influenced part of the lives of their family, friends, or themselves.
I tried to take pictures of most everyone. The quality of some photos may not be perfect, but I wanted to get as many of the participants as possible. If you also took photos and want to share them, I would be glad to post them here.

I hope the walk is held in the local area again because everyone I spoke to said they would do it again. For links to the official Avon site see the bottom of this page.
